A masonry stove is a special type of fireplace that releases heat over a long period of time, much more efficient and with less ash than a traditional fireplace. The high thermal mass of the stove can also be passively used if placed strategically in a home and almost the whole thing can be constructed of reclaimed masonry brick. After the fire has burnt out, the upper oven can be used to make pizza, bread, and pastries!
