English Ivy + Bathrooms for Better Health
A 2005 WebMD article published research done by the American College of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology concerning the abilities of the English Ivy plant to filter hazardous particles from the air. Researches put mold and dog feces into containers with English Ivy and measured the amount of airborne particulate at the start of the experiment and then 6 hours later and 6 hours later again. At 6 hours later, 60% of the mold and 58% of the feces were filtered from the air and after 12 total hours a staggering 78% of the mold was gone and 94% of the feces. English Ivy is also suited for areas of the home with less direct sunlight as they are adapted to grow on the forest floor under a tree canopy.
