Cork Flooring for Sustainably Sourced Material and Better Joints

Sustainable sources of flooring include bamboo and cork, however due to current growing methods, cork maybe a bit more sustainable. Cork is the outer bark of a tree that can be harvested and regrown without injuring the plant. Bamboo is a fast growing plant that can be quickly replaced, but in many cases pesticides and other toxins are used in the production so its important to be sure your bamboo is well sourced. Another advantage to cork is that it is impervious to water,  and has a natural give which helps to ease stress on joints while walking across the floor.
